1. TEXAPON ¼ kg
2. PINE OIL ½ liter
3. PHENOL 1/4 liter
4. CHLOROXYLENOL ½ liters
5. ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL (IPA) 4 liters
6. WATER (Distilled) 4 litres
7. COLORANT as desired.

Note, in place of water, you may use methanol or ethanol; or the mixture of both (i.e. water plus methanol). We only need them to properly dissolve other constituents in the production of Dettol Liquid Disinfectant

How to Produce Dettol liquid Disinfectant at home

Step 1: Pour the Texapon into empty clean bowl.
Step 2: Add the Pine oil and stir properly until the Texapon is dissolved completely.
Step 3: Add Phenol to the mixture and stir properly
Step 4: Add and stir properly. Note the mixture will turn slightly brownish
Step 5: Gently pour the amount of water and stir gradually. The mixture will immediately become cloudy or whitish; this is normal.
Step 6: Now add the Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA). Continue to stir until the mixture turns brownish again, to get a perfect blend.
Step 7: Dissolve the color (brown) in a little quantity of water and mix well. Then add bit by bit into the main bowl, while stirring continuously until the desired coloration is reached. Note that this should be the last constituent to be added. Stir very well.

How To Know If Your Production Is Okay.
Take a little quantity of your Dettol liquid disinfectant (just a capful and add into a bucket containing water. On first contact with water, you should observe a cloudy formation. If this is confirmed, then you are good to go.
